Workshop Technician – Refrigeration

About the role

Join Fisher & Paykel Appliances' Customer Experience team in Hazelmere as a Workshop Technician specializing in refrigeration. You will work Monday‑Friday, 6:00 am‑2:30 pm, diagnosing, repairing and testing major home appliances to the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and fully test refrigeration units and other major appliances such as washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and stoves.
• Evaluate faults, determine appropriate repair actions and ensure quality standards before products leave the workshop.
• Support, guide and mentor two apprentices, sharing practical knowledge and helping develop their skills.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in appliance repair, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Strong refrigeration background with a Domestic Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARC Tick).
• Restricted Electrical Workers Licence and ability to read schematics, diagrams and technical documentation.
• Commitment to safety, customer service and delivering first‑time right repairs.
