Production Assembly Team Member

About the role

Ortech Industries, an Australian-owned company established in 1985, manufactures Durra Panel, Durra Steel Sections and Durra Panelised Building Systems at its production facility in Bendigo, Victoria. It is looking for dedicated people who arrive on time and thrive in a team environment, with some prior assembly or manufacturing experience and the ability to read working drawings correctly.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble construction materials
• Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure quality
• Manually load and unload materials in the area
• Routinely clean equipment and work areas
• Manually handle heavy products
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices
• Wrap, strap and palletize
• Perform other duties on the production line as required

Required profile

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and understand working drawings
• Attention to detail and good decision-making ability
• Strong focus on safety and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to complete tasks to completion
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Forklift ticket preferred

Required skills

• Basic computer skills
• Quality inspection of finished products for defects
