Product Support Specialist - Mining Technology Systems

About the role

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is looking for an experienced and motivated Product Support Specialist to join its Brisbane Fleet Management System team. Reporting to the Product Support Specialist Team, the role plans, coordinates, QA's and supports the deployment of mining technology systems to customers. It suits someone who wants to move beyond day-to-day trade work and help set the standard for the installation team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, QA and support the deployment of mining technology systems to clients in the mining industry
• Work with suppliers to design and procure non-standard bracketry and installation components
• Work with the installation team to install mining technology systems on heavy mining equipment to OEM quality standards
• Commission and QA mobile mining technology systems
• Train customers on hardware and system upkeep
• Provision new customers, including onboard software installation
• Prepare project documentation to OEM standard
• Diagnose reported issues, manage databases accurately and report resolutions
• Stay current with WencoLite and WencoMine FMS and HPMG systems

Required profile

• Trade qualification in automotive electrical, electronics or communications technician (essential)
• Supervised project hardware installations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Required skills

• Understanding of networking protocols and technologies (WAN, LAN and wireless)
• Knowledge of WencoLite, WencoMine FMS and HPMG systems
