Product Specialist - Joint Reconstruction, Brisbane

About the role

A permanent full-time Product Specialist position is open within the Joint Reconstruction Team in Queensland, based in Brisbane. The role focuses on selling and supporting Hip and Knee joint replacement solutions, including VELYS, the company's robotic and digital technology ecosystem. The position is commission-based clinical sales to surgeons.

Key responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with orthopaedic surgeons and consult with them on their needs
• Promote and drive the sale of products, achieve revenue targets and generate leads
• Present product information to support customers and tailor solutions to their needs
• Provide clinical support during surgical cases and deliver education and in-service training to surgeons, registrars and theatre staff, and support new product launches
• Maintain market and competitor analysis, give regular feedback and collaborate within a team

Required profile

• Degree qualified with proven skills in hospital sales and territory management, preferably in orthopaedics
• Understanding of the local orthopaedic market and a track record of building professional and strategic relationships
• Organised, team-oriented and able to challenge customers constructively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence stakeholders
• Frequent travel to hospitals within the Brisbane metro area
• Rights to work in Australia, a reliable car and a valid driver's licence

The company is separating its Orthopaedics business into a standalone company, DePuy Synthes, expected to complete within 18 to 24 months. After the transaction, the employee would be employed by DePuy Synthes under its own policies and benefits.
