Product Owner – GICOP Claims Lead

About the role

QBE is seeking a Product Owner to lead GICOP‑related change across its AUSPAC Claims business. This 12‑month fixed‑term position will coordinate system, process and digital initiatives to ensure regulatory requirements are met and embedded effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate delivery of GICOP change requirements across the Claims value chain.
• Translate regulatory mandates into clear, prioritised backlogs and actionable delivery plans.
• Identify gaps, overlaps and dependencies across multiple change initiatives.
• Collaborate with Claims leaders, technical teams and transformation stakeholders.
• Partner with delivery squads to drive execution aligned with operational and customer needs.
• Support operationalisation of GICOP changes to ensure sustainable solutions.
• Leverage systems knowledge, including Guidewire, to inform solution design.
• Provide regular communication and reporting on progress, risks and outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role delivering complex, cross‑functional change.
• Strong ability to turn regulatory or compliance requirements into practical deliverables.
• Experience identifying gaps and aligning concurrent change initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management across business, technology and transformation teams.
• Background in insurance or financial services, preferably with claims exposure.
