Product Manager – Health

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the health‑focused Child Protection sub‑stream of the Communities and Families Transformation Program for a State Government client. The role runs until December 2026 and offers a hybrid work arrangement in Melbourne CBD.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the co‑design process for the Child Protection sub‑stream, ensuring design decisions reflect practitioners’ real needs.
• Partner with Change Analysts to identify required changes in practice and differentiate between necessary and beneficial adjustments.
• Manage relationships between product design teams and practice authorities across the sub‑stream.
• Hold sub‑stream Product Owners accountable to transformation standards.
• Prepare and present co‑design outputs for Business Design Authority review.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex programs or engagements involving multiple teams and workstreams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop the performance of others.
• Strong understanding of human‑centred design, co‑production, or practice‑based design approaches.
• Deep knowledge of Child Protection practice, relevant legislation, and statutory operating environments.
• Capability to balance strategic product direction with day‑to‑day delivery.
