About the role
Join Esri’s Melbourne R&D Center to help design and develop next‑generation cross‑platform mapping and GIS applications for mobile devices. This internship offers hands‑on experience building Survey123 features and working with cutting‑edge GIS technology.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and testers to deliver high‑quality software.
- Analyze user workflows, define requirements, and test software functions, interfaces, and GIS methods.
- Perform software testing to ensure development goals align with real‑world usage scenarios.
Required profile
- Current 3rd or 4th year Bachelor or Graduate student in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Strong interest in field data collection and GIS data verification.
- Effective time‑management, organizational, and communication skills.
Required skills
- Experience with software project planning and design.
- Familiarity with software testing automation tools.
- Background with mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
- Experience using Esri’s ArcGIS product suite.
- Basic scripting or programming for testing, workflows, or automation.
