About the role
We are seeking a strategic Procurement Specialist to lead full‑cycle procurement activities for nationally significant defence programs. This high‑impact position offers visibility across multiple programs and the opportunity to directly influence Australia’s defence future.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies that minimise risk and maximise value.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers.
- Manage contracts, performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Drive cost savings, commercial improvements, and procurement best practice.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in commerce, law, supply chain, procurement or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in supply chain or procurement.
- Proven ability to deliver cost savings and strategic sourcing outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability and expertise in category management, contract law, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Australian citizenship is mandatory.
