Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will support procurement and contract activities for the Infrastructure team at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and the Category and Contract Lead, you will ensure smooth procurement processes, value‑for‑money outcomes and strong governance. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on the delivery of quality healthcare services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Prepare and manage requests for quotation (RFQ) and support sourcing activities.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve quality, service and value outcomes.
• Coordinate subcontractor administration and monitor contract performance.
• Identify procurement improvement opportunities and support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Maintain accurate procurement records while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Demonstrated procurement experience, including quotations, evaluations and supplier engagement.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proactive, dependable approach with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working within compliance and governance frameworks.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or postgraduate studies in Procurement, Business or a related field (desirable).
