Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will manage contracting arrangements with suppliers to meet BAE Systems' cost, schedule, quality and safety objectives. You will work across bids, supplier evaluation and performance management to ensure the business receives the best value from its supply base.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement elements of bids and tenders, defining requirements and commercial terms.
• Assist the supplier evaluation process and provide sourcing recommendations.
• Develop and maintain robust supplier sourcing strategies.
• Proactively manage supplier performance against schedule, cost and quality KPIs.
• Lead negotiations, finalize Supplier Agreements and purchase orders in line with procedures and Delegations of Authority.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (desirable).
• Experience in defence industry is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated procurement, supply chain or commercial experience.
• Proven ability to develop and negotiate contracts with key suppliers.
• Strong stakeholder management and commitment to delivering on commitments.
