Procurement Officer – Hybrid, $100-110k + Super

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Officer to support our Repair & Overhaul business unit. Based in Warriewood, you will work in a hybrid setting to source, manage and optimise procurement activities, ensuring compliance, value and risk mitigation for critical national projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sourcing and procurement activities in line with established policies and procedures.
• Manage purchase orders and contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
• Identify, assess and mitigate procurement risks, escalating issues as required.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and service standards are met.
• Provide procurement advice to support business decision‑making and strategy.
• Contribute to the development of procurement strategies and supply arrangements.
• Maintain knowledge of procurement legislation, policies and supplier markets.
• Build technical understanding of relevant product categories to support effective sourcing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Procurement Officer or similar role.
• Eligibility to obtain Defence security clearance.
• Experience in the maritime or defence industries is advantageous.
• Background in engineering, technical sales or related environments is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work within a structured compliance environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
