Procurement Coordinator

About the role

The Procurement Coordinator will manage the purchasing activities for Bouygues Construction Australia, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services across the Plant and Logistics organisation. The role supports the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing to contract management and vendor performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs, RFPs and tender documents, seeking synergies and standardising requirements.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor vendor performance against key metrics.
• Handle day‑to‑day procurement of goods and services for the Warehouse and Logistics team.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, government procurement frameworks and statutory regulations.
• Liaise with finance to process purchase orders, track invoices and forecast cash flow.
• Analyse and manage procurement data, develop reports and maintain information libraries.
• Act as primary contact between the Delivery Team and external suppliers, tracking deliveries and supporting interstate and overseas transport.
• Update global logistic tracker, manage bill of lading documentation and coordinate customs release with freight forwarders.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years experience in purchasing or administration.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical spare and wear parts used in projects and knowledge of overseas and interstate suppliers.
• Familiarity with tunnelling works, related disciplines and the specific plant under the Plant & Logistics scope.
