Process Operator

About the role

The Process Operator is responsible for running and monitoring production machines in both the hot‑end and cold‑end areas of the plant. Working on a rotating 12‑hour shift roster, you will ensure that equipment operates safely, efficiently and to the specifications set by the forming department.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and mop hot‑end machines according to job requirements.
• Check and maintain product weight every 15 minutes.
• Troubleshoot machine issues, clear jams and report non‑conformances.
• Coordinate with electricians and fitters for technical assistance.
• Change mould gear and record adjustments.
• Monitor the PIS system and perform bottle counts on the cold‑end line.
• Run reject samples through inspection equipment and make minor adjustments.
• Assist with job changes, perform annealing and coating thickness tests, and back‑track defects.

Required profile

• Willingness to complete a Cert III training program.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with hot‑end and noisy settings.
• Strong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Required skills

• Operation of PIS (Production Information System) software.
• Use of inspection equipment for quality checks.
