Process Operator - Gold Processing Plant

About the role

Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operations is looking for a Process Operator to help keep its processing plant running safely, efficiently and reliably so that gold production continues. The role reports to the Mill Supervisor and offers a residential position in West Wyalong, NSW, on a family-friendly 7/7 roster. You will gain exposure across crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching and control room operations.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to safe, reliable and continuous gold production.
• Operate processing plant circuits including crushing, grinding, flotation and leaching.
• Monitor plant performance and processing parameters to maintain operational targets.
• Respond to process deviations and equipment issues to minimise downtime.
• Support plant isolations, shutdowns and operational readiness.
• Maintain accurate log sheets and give effective shift handovers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for safety, efficiency and performance.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a processing plant, mining or heavy industry environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and operational discipline.
• Team player able to communicate with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience monitoring process performance and handling operational issues.
• Australian driver's licence.
• Highly regarded but not essential: previous gold processing plant experience, DCS system operation or monitoring, Certificate III in Metalliferous Mining or Resource Processing, and exposure to crushing, grinding, flotation or leaching circuits.

Required skills

• Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to prioritise work, make sound operational decisions and follow procedures.
