About the role

The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited invites applications for the Principalship at St Martin de Porres School in Broome, commencing 1 January 2027 (or negotiable). The school is a Catholic co‑educational secondary CaRE institution dedicated to re‑engaging young people who find mainstream schooling challenging.

Key responsibilities

• Provide authentic, Christ‑centred leadership that upholds the dignity of every person and fosters a culture of inclusion, justice and service.
• Champion innovative, individualised learning pathways, building staff capability to deliver evidence‑informed teaching that enhances resilience and lifelong learning.
• Build strong, culturally responsive relationships with students, families, First Nations communities and local partners, acting as an advocate for Catholic CaRE education.
• Steward school resources strategically, ensuring decisions are student‑centred, sustainable and responsive to emerging needs.

Required profile

• Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education.
• Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent.
• Current Teacher Registration for Western Australia and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
• Relevant Master’s degree (or working towards) and collaborative, future‑focused leadership style.
