Principal Broker – Financial Lines

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Principal Broker to join its Financial Lines / FINPRO team in Brisbane. This hybrid position requires at least three days a week in the office and focuses on large, complex FINPRO accounts, supporting brokers and shaping market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of large FINPRO clients, overseeing day‑to‑day service, new business, and renewal strategies.
• Lead client meetings, board presentations, and tender submissions, providing clear, practical advice.
• Assess client structures, programmes, and contractual requirements to design appropriate insurance solutions.
• Collaborate with brokers and Account Executives to coordinate delivery and prioritize team initiatives.
• Identify and develop new market opportunities, especially for tenders and ongoing placements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in FINPRO or Financial Lines insurance with exposure to complex client programmes.
• Proven ability to manage large accounts and engage senior stakeholders confidently.
• Experience analysing client contracts, business structures, and insurance needs to craft suitable solutions.
• Collaborative approach with the capability to support brokers and guide client service delivery.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of FINPRO and Financial Lines insurance products.
• Strong analytical skills for contract and risk assessment.
