Principal Bridge Designer

About the role

Join KBR's high‑performing Structural team in Western Australia as a Principal Bridge Designer. Reporting to the WA Structural Discipline Manager, you will act as a technical specialist delivering structural engineering services for transport infrastructure, with a strong focus on bridge projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver structural design and analysis for bridge and transport infrastructure projects.
• Plan and execute work to meet budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Prepare and review design calculations, reports, specifications and drawings.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, designers and drafters.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
• Contribute to proposals, project planning and business development activities.
• Support delivery of MRWA projects, including ETS panel work and inspections.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (Structural or equivalent) with 10+ years’ experience, including 7+ years in infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in bridge design and civil infrastructure within a consulting environment.
• Solid understanding of MRWA design processes; ETS panel and bridge inspection experience highly regarded.
• Chartered (CPEng) or able to obtain within 6 months.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders.
