About the role

Denison State School is looking for a motivated and dedicated primary teacher to join a supportive, collaborative team. The District Relieving Teacher (DRT) role suits an adaptable educator who is confident working across a range of primary settings and can quickly build relationships and adapt to different school environments. The advertised position is a temporary prep-6 role starting as soon as possible in late October or early December 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
• Build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
• Support student learning, wellbeing and success within a positive school environment.
• Travel between schools, including Denison SS, Emerald North SS, Emerald SS, Anakie SS, Comet SS and Gindie SS.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification.
• Full or provisional QCT registration.
• Australian working rights or a valid visa; pre-service and graduate teachers are encouraged to apply (with practicum reports, mentor statements and unofficial transcript).
• Current driver's licence and access to your own vehicle for travel between schools.
