Primary School Teacher (Full‑time)

About the role

St Columba College is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teacher to join its supportive, inclusive community in Andrews Farm, South Australia. This full‑time, on‑site position involves delivering engaging learning experiences for primary‑aged students in line with the Australian Curriculum and the College’s Anglican and Catholic values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess learning programs that align with the Australian Curriculum.
• Design differentiated activities to meet diverse learner needs.
• Manage classroom behaviour and provide regular, constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers and support staff.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives, pastoral care and co‑curricular programs.
• Participate in professional learning and uphold College policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong teaching experience with primary‑aged learners.
• Proficiency in curriculum development and implementation.
• Effective communication skills for engaging students, colleagues and families.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Education and current (or eligible) registration with the South Australian teacher regulatory authority.
• Understanding of inclusive education practices and ability to differentiate learning.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.
• Willingness to support the Anglican and Catholic ethos of the College.
• Current Working With Children Check and compliance with child safeguarding requirements.
