Pre-Construction Manager

About the role

Built is hiring a Pre-Construction Manager based at its Perth head office, within the new business strategy and conversion team. The role leads the front end of projects and works with estimating, design and delivery teams, as well as clients and consultants, to secure and deliver high-quality work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tendering and pre-construction activities so projects are commercially sound and strategically aligned
• Develop winning bid strategies with estimating teams to refine pricing and improve competitiveness
• Engage directly with clients, consultants and stakeholders to build relationships and secure new opportunities
• Identify risks early and apply smart construction methodologies to strengthen project viability
• Contribute to commercial strategies, including value engineering and contract negotiations

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience in pre-construction, construction management or senior project leadership roles
• Track record of leading successful tenders and winning major projects
• Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams through the bid phase
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a client-focused mindset
