Practice Excellence Advisor – Learning & Development

About the role

The Practice Excellence Advisor will join the County Court of Victoria’s Learning and Development team. In this role you will support the delivery of consistent, high‑quality judicial support practice across multiple jurisdictions by providing training, maintaining practice resources and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate induction, training and professional development programmes for judicial support staff.
• Develop, review and keep up‑to‑date practice manuals, procedures, guidance notes and training materials.
• Provide practical advice on complex or high‑risk practice matters and act as a point of reference for staff.
• Conduct audits, observations and gather feedback to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of practice changes.
• Undertake any other duties aligned with the role’s classification and responsibilities.

Required profile

• Knowledge of the Victorian legal system and court processes.
• Strong organisational abilities and sound judgement in a demanding environment.
• Experience in delivering training or learning‑and‑development programmes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a focus on quality and consistency.
