Sessional Lecturer, Social Work

About the role

We are seeking passionate and dedicated academics to join our Social Work program on a sessional basis. The position is based in our vibrant Melbourne CBD campus, offering flexible morning, afternoon, or evening shifts. You will report to the Head of School and focus on delivering high‑quality teaching and assessment for undergraduate and, where qualified, postgraduate courses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging face‑to‑face and online learning sessions using Ikon’s provided materials.
• Mark, assess, and provide timely feedback on student work, adhering to a two‑week turnaround.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching resources and learning design.
• Facilitate student engagement, monitor attendance, and communicate student issues to relevant teams.
• Participate in subject review, moderation, and academic integrity processes.

• Ability to facilitate both on‑site and digital learning environments.
• Commitment to collaborative work within a supportive academic team.
