PR Coordinator / Senior Account Executive

About the role

SPEAK Communications is seeking a proactive PR Coordinator or Senior Account Executive to join its Sydney team. The role is hands‑on, covering media relations, storytelling, campaign execution and event activation for sport, entertainment, lifestyle and culture clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Australian media, pitch stories and secure coverage.
• Write press releases, media alerts, briefing documents and other campaign copy.
• Plan and deliver integrated PR campaigns, launches, partnerships and cultural moments from concept to execution.
• Support events and activations, handling media calls, guest lists, logistics and on‑site execution.
• Research and engage relevant creators, athletes and talent for client campaigns.
• Track coverage, compile wrap reports and demonstrate campaign impact.

Required profile

• Experience in a PR agency or in‑house communications role (level flexible).
• Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Genuine interest in sport, entertainment, culture and current trends.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
