PR Account Manager / Senior Account Manager (Tech, Govt, Retail, Insurance)

About the role

A Melbourne-based, award-winning PR and communications agency is hiring an Account Manager or newly appointed Senior Account Manager to support its Group Account Director. The role is based in Melbourne and suits someone with corporate and consumer PR experience who wants to become a strategic, trusted client advisor.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group Account Director in developing and managing corporate PR and media campaigns
• Work with the Group Account Director, Senior Account Director and Account Director to develop PR strategies and new client and product offerings
• Liaise directly with C-Suite level clients
• Develop engaging corporate and consumer PR campaigns
• Identify and take part in external thought leadership opportunities to raise awareness of the agency's expertise
• Update media lists and stay connected with local and national corporate media

Required profile

• At least four years of public relations experience (agency experience preferred)
• Excellent understanding of the Australian media landscape
• Previous experience with corporate clients is desirable
• Live in Melbourne, Australia and hold full working rights

Required skills

• Up to date with current digital trends across web, mobile, audio, email and social media
• Natural storyteller with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to develop presentation decks with a clear narrative
