PR & Marketing Manager, Health, Pharma & Finance

About the role

An agency is recruiting, on behalf of a finance organisation that invests in global science and medical research, a PR and marketing professional with corporate comms experience in health, pharma, biotech or finance. The role is based in Melbourne and is open to full-time or part-time arrangements; candidates must hold full working rights. The advertised salary of $110k-$120k is a guide only.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver marketing and communications for key external and internal stakeholders.
• Strengthen the profile, reputation and engagement of the client's associated brands.
• Develop and deliver communications across digital, media and stakeholder channels, turning complex scientific, investment and commercial information into clear stories.
• Work directly with C-suite parties so that communications stay consistent and aligned.
• Support the Head of Comms in developing and managing corporate PR and media campaigns.
• Build PR strategies and new client and product offerings with the Head of Comms.
• Liaise directly with C-suite clients and run engaging corporate and corporate consumer campaigns.
• Take part in external thought leadership opportunities and update media lists to stay connected with local and national corporate media.

Required profile

• At least six years of public relations experience (agency preferred) in corporate communications.
• Recent client experience in health, pharma or finance is required.
• Excellent understanding of the Australian media landscape.
• Up to date with current digital trends across web, mobile, audio, email and social media.
• Natural storyteller with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop presentation decks with a clear narrative.

Required skills

• Use of Canva, website CMS platforms, email marketing platforms and event management systems is ideal.
