Portfolio Construction Manager – WA Major Mining Projects

About the role

Alcoa is seeking a highly capable, values‑led Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of major mining and infrastructure projects across its Western Australian operations. This pivotal leadership position requires a strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and execution excellence while integrating construction activities into live mining environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety and EHS leadership, ensuring construction activities meet Alcoa standards, environmental approvals and statutory obligations.
• Coordinate multi‑contractor construction across brownfield mining sites, minimizing disruption to live operations.
• Own execution performance, delivering projects to approved scope, budget, schedule and quality expectations.
• Partner with Operations and Asset Owners to ensure smooth handover and long‑term asset performance.
• Drive contractor performance, overseeing mobilisation, supervision and accountability across multiple work fronts.
• Provide constructability input from FEL through delivery to shape outcomes early.

Required profile

• Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management preferred; significant construction leadership experience from a trade background also considered.
• Extensive experience delivering construction in mining, heavy industry or major projects.
• Strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and execution excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project, operations and contractor teams.
