Porter (Hospital Assistant Grade 2) - Radiology

About the role

Sydney Local Health District is recruiting a casual Porter (Hospital Assistant Grade 2) for the Radiology Department at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. The hospital has cared for the veteran community for more than 70 years and now provides specialist and general health services to Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and surrounding areas. The position is paid $31.42 per hour plus superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Transport patients using wheelchairs, beds, bed movers or by walking them to and from the Radiology Department, within the department and across the hospital.
• Assist Radiology staff with patient and manual handling tasks and allied duties within the Radiology Department.

Required profile

• Good understanding of written and oral communication.
• Experience and ability to use computer applications.
• Ability to organise workload so that patient transfers are efficient and timely.
