Podiatrist - High-Risk Foot Care

About the role

This is a temporary full-time podiatry position (until June 2027) within the Greater Newcastle Sector Podiatry and High Risk Foot Service, based at John Hunter Hospital. The role works mainly in the high-risk foot clinic and one day a week in a community health centre, covering high-risk foot care and community podiatry. The service runs five days a week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families and carers, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
• Manage a diverse and complex caseload in high-risk foot care and community podiatry.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including other podiatrists, allied health assistants, administrative support and specialists such as vascular and endocrinology.

Required profile

• Current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
• Reliable, able to build rapport with people of all backgrounds and work in a small, busy clinic team.
• Enthusiastic about learning and willing to develop skills in varied clinical areas.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication, time management and teamwork skills.

• Pay of $79,419 to $113,301 per annum plus superannuation and salary packaging.
