Plumbing Traineeship - Year 10 Students, Wollongong

About the role

The Reece Group, a supplier of plumbing and bathroom products, is offering a school-based traineeship at its Plumbing Wollongong branch, in partnership with Murray Mallee Training Company Ltd. Year 10 students work towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations, combining work in the branch with certificate requirements such as workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments. The position is based at Plumbing Wollongong.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Reece's values, policies and procedures
• Provide customer service and communicate with customers and staff
• Complete all requirements of the certificate, including workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments
• Process sales and manage stock
• Answer the phone to take messages and orders
• Build product knowledge and follow up with customers
• Help keep the branch at a high standard

Required profile

• Year 10 student
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to follow instructions
• Enthusiasm, a great attitude and willingness to try new things
• Team player who keeps a neat and tidy workplace
• Well presented
• Saturday availability; about 1.5 days per week, with extra hours during school holidays recommended
