Platform Architect

About the role

TechnologyOne is seeking a Platform Architect to lead the design and evolution of its large‑scale SaaS platform. You will shape infrastructure, deployment, automation and reliability practices across the estate, driving a major transformation to containerised, cloud‑native delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of the platform, covering infrastructure, deployment, automation and reliability at massive scale.
• Define target‑state architectures, migration patterns and golden paths for moving services onto Kubernetes.
• Drive modernisation of automation and platforms, creating roadmaps and reference architectures.
• Partner with service, SRE and delivery teams to embed reliability, observability and operational readiness.
• Evaluate new tooling and act as a trusted advisor on platform strategy and trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Deep hands‑on experience running Kubernetes in production at scale.
• Proven track record of reducing operating costs through data‑driven platform optimisation.
• Experience designing and operating a platform used by multiple engineering teams.
• Background in SaaS production, multi‑tenant, mission‑critical services.
• Strong communication and influencing skills without relying on direct authority.
