Planner Scheduler – Maintenance Planning

About the role
The Planner/Scheduler will connect asset strategy with maintenance delivery, creating safe and efficient schedules for preventative and corrective work. You will work closely with the Asset Management team to ensure accurate data and reliable asset performance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, plan and schedule maintenance activities in line with plans and scopes of work.
- Prioritise work based on asset criticality, condition and operational requirements.
- Prepare detailed work plans covering labour, materials, tools and equipment.
- Manage maintenance backlog and optimise schedule efficiency.
- Coordinate contractors and oversee the procure‑to‑pay process.
- Maintain accurate CMMS data and ensure compliance with health, safety and statutory requirements.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Planner/Scheduler in a facilities‑maintenance or asset‑intensive environment.
- Strong organisational, planning and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands and perform under pressure.
Required skills
- Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Asset Lifecycle Management (ISO 55000 principles) and Lean continuous‑improvement methodologies.
