About the role
NewCold is seeking a Planner / Allocator to manage order scheduling and coordinate logistics activities within its highly automated cold storage facilities. The role involves close interaction with clients, haulers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule orders using the warehouse management system in line with client and hauler agreements.
- Issue process orders to forklift drivers and pickers.
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to meet operational requirements.
- Maintain daily contact with clients and haulers regarding progress, priorities, anomalies, and problems.
- Identify issues, inform the site manager, and agree on corrective measures.
- Process administrative information related to logistical activities.
Required profile
- Broad knowledge of the applied planning system and continuous improvement concepts.
- Good mathematical skills and experience using computers and software.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Required skills
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) proficiency.
- Planning system usage.
- Computer and software competency.
