Pilot In Command – Aviation Operations

About the role

Leidos is seeking an experienced Pilot In Command (PIC) to operate King Air 350 aircraft supporting both CONUS and OCONUS missions. The role involves full flight operations responsibility, ensuring safety, compliance, and mission success in potentially austere environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and debrief flight missions in the King Air 350, following directives from the Site Operations Manager and Program Chief Pilot.
• Perform all pre‑flight and post‑flight activities, maintain aircraft logs, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations and Leidos corporate policies.
• Support contracted flight operations for the Defense sector, including OCONUS deployments as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related aviation experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree).
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate and active DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred).
• U.S. citizenship, valid passport, and driver’s license; minimum age 21.

Required skills

• 1,500 total PIC flight hours, including 300 hours PIC in a Super King Air 350 or similar type.
• Proline 21 and Garmin G1000 avionics experience.
• Valid FAA Commercial Airplane and Airplane Airman Certificate with multiengine, land, and instrument ratings.
