Pharmacy Technician Grade 2

About the role

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is looking for a Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 (classification TH6, $65,042 per annum) to provide technical and operational support for safe, effective and timely pharmacy services. Working under the direction of pharmacists, you will carry out medication distribution, dispensing, inventory management and pharmacy support activities while meeting legislative, professional and organisational requirements. The position is full time and permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Satellite pharmacy and dispensary work
• Imprest and stock management
• Complete prescription paperwork so that PBS claims and patient invoices are accurate
• Work in a friendly, supportive team environment

Required profile

• Certificate III in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent from a registered training organisation, or approval from the Pharmacy Board of Victoria
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
• Valid work visa for Australia
• Current national criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one
• Hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Willingness to meet mandatory vaccination requirements, including the flu vaccine and a Victorian government COVID-19 vaccination direction

Required skills

• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Computer knowledge and skill
