Pharmacy Aide – Hospital Medication Support

About the role

The Pharmacy Aide will join the Pharmacy Department at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, providing essential technical and operational support to ensure safe and timely medication distribution across a busy hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver medications and pharmaceutical supplies to wards and departments.
• Assist with dispensing, distribution and production support activities.
• Maintain safe medication handling practices in line with hospital policies.
• Support quality‑assurance initiatives and key performance metrics.
• Participate in rostered overtime, weekend and on‑call services as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to handle heavy goods and manual handling tasks (boxes up to 15 kg, trolleys up to 300 kg).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work late shifts, weekends and overtime.
• Experience in stock control and prioritising a large workload.

Required skills

• Satisfactory computer proficiency.
