Pharmacist Grade 1/2 – Rural Hospital – Bega

About the role

The South East Regional Hospital in Bega is seeking a qualified Pharmacist (Grade 1 or Grade 2) to join its multidisciplinary team. This permanent, full‑time role offers a broad clinical scope, autonomy, and the chance to make a tangible impact on the health of a close‑knit rural community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmacy services to patients and clients of the Southern NSW Local Health District.
• Deliver clinical pharmacy interventions and support medication management across hospital departments.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and allied health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Prioritise and organise caseload to ensure safe, timely dispensing and patient counselling.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence‑based practice.

Required profile

• Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA.
• For Grade 2: minimum three years’ hospital pharmacy experience post‑registration and competency in at least one essential and three additional criteria under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award 2017.
• Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage workload independently.
• Unrestricted driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Pharmacy registration with AHPRA (or eligibility).
