Pharmacist – Boutique Specialty Pharmacy

About the role

Astrid is redefining the modern specialty pharmacy experience. We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our boutique dispensary team and provide safe, high‑quality, compassionate care throughout each patient’s journey.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense and clinically check prescriptions in line with legal and professional requirements.
• Provide clear, individualised counselling to support patients in using their medicines safely and confidently.
• Respond to patient and prescriber enquiries with warmth, discretion and sound professional judgement.
• Coordinate dispensary workflow and supervise Intern Pharmacists, Student Pharmacists and Dispensary Technicians.
• Manage dispensary stock, ordering, storage and records, including controlled medicines requirements.
• Support service improvement and deliver a premium experience across in‑store collection and delivery workflows.

Required profile

• Qualified Pharmacist with current registration with Ahpra.
• Experience dispensing medicines in a community or specialty pharmacy environment.
• Strong clinical judgement and thorough understanding of legal, professional and patient safety requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a warm, discreet and professional approach.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a busy dispensary.
• Collaborative leadership and supervision skills, confident in supporting and developing team members.
• Commercial awareness and genuine interest in patient‑centred alternative healthcare.
