Pharmacist - Aseptic and Production Services

About the role

The Canberra Hospital is seeking an experienced hospital pharmacist to join its Aseptic and Production Services team. You will support the safe, efficient, and compliant manufacture of medicines, including cytotoxic compounding, parenteral nutrition, clinical‑trial manufacturing, and both sterile and non‑sterile production.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense aseptic medicines in accordance with GMP and hospital policies.
• Manage cytotoxic and non‑cytotoxic compounding processes.
• Oversee parenteral nutrition formulation and clinical trial manufacturing activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with oncology, ICU, and nutrition support teams to ensure timely access to compounded medicines.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with experience in hospital pharmacy.
• Demonstrated interest in aseptic compounding and medication safety.
• Ability to work in a high‑performing, multidisciplinary environment.
