Personal Support & Community Care Assistant - Illawarra

About the role

A growing organisation is urgently seeking a Personal Support & Community Care Assistant to support elderly clients so they can stay safe, independent and connected in their own homes and communities. The position covers the Illawarra region, including Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama and surrounding areas. It is a casual position with flexible weekday shifts (Monday to Friday, about 7am to 3pm) and a minimum availability of 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients to live independently in their own homes
• Provide companionship and meaningful social support
• Support with transport, shopping and community activities
• Deliver personal care with dignity and respect
• Assist with light domestic duties and meal preparation

Required profile

• Certified III or IV in Community, Aged Care or Disability (highly desirable)
• Nursing students are encouraged to apply
• Previous experience in community aged care preferred
• Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Current (or willingness to obtain) First Aid & CPR certification, Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check
