Personal Care Worker - Aged Care

About the role

Harbourside Lodge, part of Portland District Health, is seeking a Personal Care Worker to support individuals with daily living activities while promoting their safety, comfort, dignity and independence. The role is casual, available from October 2026, and hours may include shift work, weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Promote independence by helping residents complete everyday tasks on their own as much as possible
• Monitor health, assist with safe movement and prevent accidents or injuries
• Provide person-centred care that respects each person's preferences, culture and background
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
• More than 12 months' experience in residential aged care (desirable); up to three years also mentioned
• Experience delivering person-centred care
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Assistant in Nursing (AIN) with additional clinical training

Candidates must also be eligible for a police record check or NDIS worker screening check, hold a Victorian Working with Children's check, show right to work in Australia and provide evidence of current immunisation status.
