People and Culture Coordinator

About the role

Fitness Cartel, a fast-growing Australian health and wellness business, is building its People and Culture function and is looking for a motivated People and Culture Coordinator. The role is full-time and permanent, based at the head office in Virginia, Brisbane, with occasional travel to operational sites as required. It suits someone eager to learn and get involved early in shaping people processes, systems and ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Support the employee journey, from onboarding and HR administration through to employee engagement.
• Help build and improve P&C processes, systems and employee experiences.
• Work with managers and team members across the business on day-to-day people matters.
• Take part in HR projects and initiatives as the business grows.

Required profile

• Positive energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for people.
• Curious, eager to learn and willing to take ownership and make things happen.
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to juggle different priorities.
• Great people skills, collaborative mindset and willingness to ask questions and share ideas.
• A recent HR graduate, current student or someone with early experience in HR, administration or a people-focused role.
• A qualification in HR, Business or a related field, or involvement with AHRI, is a bonus but not essential.
• Experience in fitness, hospitality, retail or a multi-site environment is welcomed.
