People and Culture Advisor

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking an experienced People and Culture Advisor to join its Brisbane CBD corporate office. You will partner with a diverse portfolio of hotels across Australia and New Zealand, delivering end‑to‑end HR support and commercially focused advice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical HR advice aligned to policy and legislation.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across a multi‑site ANZ portfolio.
• Lead employee‑relations matters with a balanced, solutions‑focused approach.
• Support performance and development initiatives to lift capability.
• Drive compliance with employment law, awards, and company standards.
• Assist with labour‑cost control and workforce‑management outcomes.
• Facilitate visa and sponsorship processes.
• Contribute to team alignment, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience as an HR generalist.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation (NZ exposure valued).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proven capability in managing employee‑relations matters professionally.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset and resilience to navigate change.
• High discretion and integrity handling confidential information.
