About the role
BYD Gympie, a flagship BYD store in Queensland, is looking for a motivated PDI Technician to perform pre‑delivery inspections and ensure every vehicle meets manufacturer and dealership standards before handover.
Key responsibilities
- Perform pre‑delivery inspections on new vehicles.
- Fit accessories, parts, and protective equipment as required.
- Conduct quality checks, report defects and complete basic mechanical tasks and adjustments.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety and compliance, and update job cards and documentation.
Required profile
- Experience as a PDI Technician, mechanic or automotive technician (preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and ability to follow manufacturer procedures.
- Reliable, proactive, able to work in a fast‑paced environment with good communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and eligibility to work in Australia.
