Payroll Specialist – End‑to‑End Payroll for Australia

About the role

Dayforce is seeking a Payroll Specialist II to manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for Australian customers. The role involves ensuring accurate, timely payroll runs while complying with local legislation and supporting customers throughout the payroll lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full payroll lifecycle, including taxes, benefits, and related processes, ensuring accuracy and timely transmission.
• Process payroll changes, tax forms, and payments within required timelines for assigned customers.
• Perform quality control checks and audits to maintain low error rates.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve payroll issues and employee inquiries.
• Maintain case management documentation and proactively manage monthly and year‑end payroll auditing.

Required profile

• 1‑3+ years of end‑to‑end payroll experience in Australia with strong knowledge of local legislation and compliance.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting/Taxation or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Dayforce aPay or similar payroll systems.
• Knowledge of Australian payroll tax, benefits, and workforce management.
• Detail‑oriented, process‑driven with strong organisational abilities.
