Pastry Sous Chef

About the role

Crown Resorts is hiring a full-time Pastry Sous Chef in Sydney, reporting to the Head Pastry Chef. The role leads pastry operations, drives menu innovation and ensures desserts meet the quality, creativity and precision expected in a world-class environment. Student visas with work limitations will not be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the pastry kitchen team, inspiring high performance and a positive culture
• Create and execute innovative, visually stunning dessert menus
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation and timing during service
• Bring fresh ideas and creative concepts to elevate the offering
• Maintain strong operational control, including stock, labour and prep efficiency
• Follow health and safety protocols and food and workplace safety policies

Required profile

• Qualified Pastry Chef with proven experience at Sous Chef or senior level
• Experience in chocolate work and advanced pastry techniques (essential)
• Experience in premium, high-volume or fine dining environments
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

Required skills

• Formal qualification in Patisserie
• A strong creative portfolio showcasing modern techniques and design
