About the role

Mr Good Guy, the signature restaurant at ibis Styles Hobart, is seeking a passionate Part‑Time Commis Chef to join its culinary team. This role offers the chance to develop kitchen skills in a supportive hotel environment while working with vibrant South East Asian flavours.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions and buffet service.
• Maintain mise en place, stock rotation and minimise food waste.
• Ensure all dishes meet recipe, quality and presentation standards.
• Keep work areas, equipment and storage spaces clean and hygienic.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel or commercial kitchen.
• Relevant culinary qualifications and knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication and time‑management skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, with full working rights in Australia.
