Part-Time Sub Contract Architect/Drafter

About the role

This is a casual, part‑time sub‑contract position for an architect or drafter who can work off‑site on a flexible basis. The role is open to final‑year architecture or drafting students and recent graduates who can deliver high‑quality drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Key responsibilities

• Produce architectural and drafting drawings in AutoCAD and SketchUp based on emailed instructions.
• Submit weekly timesheets in the prescribed format.
• Adhere to the office manual and statutory requirements.
• Attend occasional face‑to‑face meetings when advantageous.
• Communicate promptly via email and text, responding to messages within one hour.

Required profile

• Final‑year architecture/drafting student or new graduate.
• Possess a valid Australian Business Number (ABN) and a postal address.
• Own a workstation with a full (non‑student) version of AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Reliable internet access for email communication.
• Available for a telephone interview and able to reply to text messages quickly.
• Demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
