Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

Slade Pharmacy is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Assistant for its Kings Meadows branch in Launceston, a community retail pharmacy within the Slade Pharmacy network. The position is permanent part-time, around 37 hours per fortnight, and suits people with pharmacy, community or hospital experience, or customer-focused retail professionals wanting a career in pharmacy.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional way
• Process sales and handle point-of-sale transactions accurately
• Prepare prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Maintain stock levels by unpacking orders, restocking shelves and rotating stock
• Keep the pharmacy clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards
• Answer general customer queries and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Support administrative tasks such as labelling, filing and stocktaking
• Promote pharmacy products and services in line with customer needs

Required profile

• Australian working rights valid for at least 12 months from the date of employment
• Experience in pharmacy, retail or hospitality roles
• Previous pharmacy operations experience is desirable
• Experience in customer service, retail, healthcare or hospitality is desirable
