Part-Time Hospital Pharmacist - Weekend

About the role

Slade Pharmacy, part of Icon Oncology Group, is looking for a permanent part-time Hospital Pharmacist to join its team at Epworth Freemasons Hospital in East Melbourne. The role is based in the dispensary, supporting safe and effective medication use, patient counselling, discharge preparation and collaboration with the wider hospital team. It suits hospital pharmacists wanting a flexible weekend role or community pharmacists ready for hospital pharmacy. Full hands-on training and support are provided, and candidates are invited to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense and distribute medication efficiently and effectively
• Conduct medication history interviews and perform medication reconciliation when required
• Prepare discharge summaries during transitions of care
• Offer medication counselling and education to patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advise on patient care

Required profile

• Current general pharmacist registration with AHPRA
• Previous pharmacy experience in Australia or New Zealand
• Ability to manage your own workload independently, with strong communication skills to work with a diverse healthcare team
• A genuine passion for developing clinical skills and knowledge

The position works Saturdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm (5.5 hours per week); applicants should state their availability when applying if they wish to be considered for both shifts.
