Part-Time Cook – Kinder Haven

About the role

G8 Education is looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at Jannali Kinder Haven 2, producing high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 36 children each day. The position is part-time, 27.5 hours per week, and suits people who enjoy creativity in the kitchen and working with children.

Key responsibilities

• Produce nutritious meals and snacks for up to 36 children daily
• Plan menus that meet nutritional guidelines
• Order and manage stock within budget
• Prepare food safely and keep the kitchen clean, in line with Food Safety regulations
• Ensure meals are safe for children with dietary and allergy requirements

Required profile

• Experience in menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering and control
• Experience in dietary and allergy-safe cooking
• Experience in maintaining a clean, safe kitchen under Food Safety regulations
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Available for set shift days and times, Monday to Friday
• Current Working with Children's Check

Required skills

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or completion of or willingness to complete the Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Experience in a cook role
